GUIDED CATFISHING HOLIDAYS ON THE RIVER EBRO SPAIN

Welcome to catalunya fishing adventures,now into our 4th year,we specialise in guided catfishing holidays on the river ebro spain, my name is gary chalk, i am a fulltime catfishing guide. The river ebro is the top catfishing venue in europe. The river ebro flows for some 560 miles starting in the cantabria mountains of northern spain flowing down to the delta regions in southern catalunya where it flows into the mediterranean sea.

All catfishing is done from our 15 foot open dory boat, all tackle, rods, reels, live bait etc is included, see what’s included for a full list, we only use top quality tackle, which has been tried and tested and can handle the biggest of cats.

THE FISHING

The boat will be launched around 11 am then we will motor along the river till we arrive at the designated area which i have chosen for the day, you should be catfishing by about 11:30am.

All rods will be tackled up ready for you to fish straight away when we arrive. I use specially built catfishing rods, shimano 6500b bait runner reels and top quality braids and hooks. As little or as much help that each angler wants will be given.

So the rods are out and we are sitting there in the hot sun (do remember to bring sun cream and a hat, it gets very hot in July and August) you are admiring the fantastic surroundings and scenery then a minute later your in the fight of your life with a massive ebro catfish, you will be playing the cat till it tires and comes along side the boat, this is where I glove the cat and haul it into the boat to be weighed and of course take the photos (taken on a top of the range digital camera).

A packed lunch is supplied and there’s plenty of cold drinks to quench your thirst. You will get a min of 8 hours catfishing each day.

Airport pickup/return from Reus Airport and accommodation are included in the catfishing package prices..
